I work in an attorney’s office and I do a lot of reading…I mean a LOT. I need somewhere comfortable to read and my boss let me order a nice leather chair and ottoman to keep in my office. This is the ottoman I chose because I thought it looked sophisticated enough for a law office and was still a comfortable foot rest. It has met all my expectations and the boss really likes it, too.
Wonderful replacement ottoman
My husband wanted me to just reupholster his old hassock but I said no way. That thing was so old it would probably fall apart when I cut away the old vinyl cover. So I bought him this new brown leather small ottoman and we are both happy. Leather is way better than vinyl—it’s comfortable and it still cleans up really easily. And this one looks so much nicer than his old one.
Simple is my basic style, and this little leather ottoman fits it just fine. It has a kind of retro but tidy look to it, which I really appreciate. I don’t like a lot of clutter of fussiness, just simple functionality and clean lines. My sister things I’m boring, but even she likes this ottoman. Of course, she likes anything leather, so she was happy to see that I’d bought something with what she called ‘a little style’.
This small ottoman is more substantial than it looks in the photograph online. It is sturdy and big enough for an adult to sit comfortably. The cushion is firm but provides that comfort that we all appreciate. The leather is of a good quality and the construction appears to be solid. It sits in front of my spot on the sofa, but my husband asked me to order a second one for him…guess I’ll do that now.
This great ottoman reminds me of the one my dad used to have in front of his easy chair. I used to play on it with my Barbie doll or sit on it whenever we had company over and the grownups took all the chairs and the sofa. Now I want to sit on it even when I’m alone. It’s comfortable and it brings back such great memories. I will admit that I do use it as a footstool, too.
