A nice old fashioned hassock with some lovely leather detailing is the best way to describe this piece of furniture. The large checkered finish of the bench ottoman not only looks good, it provides unparalleled seating comfort.
Though this leather ottoman is too big to be used as a foot stool, it can easily be used as a cocktail ottoman when matched with an appropriate coffee table.

This leather ottoman table is so useful. My husband and I eat dinner in front of the television some nights and when we do, this ottoman makes a great table surface. And it’s easy to wipe clean afterward. Most nights, however, it serves as a comfortable foot rest. I didn’t want to put my feet on this beautiful black leather at first, but it is really quite rugged. It doesn’t skuff and my heels don’t dent the leather. It’s wonderful.
I manage a small library in our town and when we set up the children’s book section, we wanted something big and soft to place in the middle for the kids to sit on during story time. We looked many leather benches but we wanted something wider. This black leather ottoman works out great. It has soft, rounded corners and the kids can wriggle on it without getting hurt by something sharp or hard. And the leather is easy to clean—very important.
I don’t know why I thought this ottoman was a little smaller than it turned out to be. But it’s worked out just fine. I put it in the living room in front of the sofa and it makes a great table or a comfortable place to put up my feet. The black leather couldn’t be nicer…very soft. I am still getting used to the size, however. It seemed to me like one of those oversized ottomans. It is much longer than my old coffee table was. But I am already growing to love it.
I bought this leather cocktail ottoman to use for bench seating in a particular spot in my house. It’s a little smaller than I thought it would be and so doesn’t fit exactly. Still, it’s a comfortable bench and the black leather looks really good in that spot. I made up for the smaller than expected size by standing a large silk ivy on each side of it. Now I have a beautiful seating area instead of just a seat.
The word ‘cocktail’ in the name of this ottoman is so accurate. I didn’t really expect to be able to use this black leather bench for a cocktail table, but it works great for just that use. The top is sturdy enough to hold glasses, but also comfortable enough to support the feet at the end of the work day. The checkered pattern in the leather is lovely, too, making this a great centerpiece in my home.
